Our Non-Green Weekend

On Saturday we woke up at 8:30am. That's saying a lot because I'm ALWAYS a 6am riser. On weekdays I get up at 5am. Never fails. I think in the almost 6 years that I've been at my job, I've been late to work a handful of times. And most of them qualify in the 5 to 10 minutes late range. I just hate being late. And I hate feeling like I'm going to get in trouble. Such a goodie goodie.

We had a baby class to attend at 12:45 later that day. Instead, we decided to get breakfast and head back home. I was too exhausted. The 3rd trimester has really sucked the life out of me. I tend to try to ignore it and just keep on the same old pace that I've been at pre-baby. But man is it catching up to me. I have to sit down after washing the dishes! I even find myself multi tasking on things I have to do. I seriously have these types of thoughts go through my mind: "Okay, when you get up to pee, throw this in the trash, switch out the laundry, feed the puppy, grab ice and then sit back down." Talk about maximizing the time on my feet. We also found out that I've been having some early contractions from being on my feet too much. We're still trying to get the house together and unpack and get ready for little Mia. I feel like there is so much to do! The boy had put me on bed rest this weekend (even though I snuck up to make a snazzy french toast breakfast and yummy chili burgers for us and do a few loads of laundry and possibly clean the kitchen). I can't let him do eeeevrything! I admit, I may be a little bit stubborn....

P.S. I've been totally addicted to the Trader Joe cat cookies. Sooo good!

And even though we may not have celebrated St. Patty's Day with beers and brews, we did manage to sneak in a Shmarock shake from McDonalds.  :)

  3. I lol'd at the part about "maximizing time on your feet". Is it normal to do that when you're not preggers?
